Tein Lowering Springs Installation Tips
To achieve advertised ride height and maximum ride comfort follow these tips when installing your springs. First and foremost it is essential that the Bump Rubber is modified ( trimmed) as shown in the official TEIN instruction, which you get when you purchase a set of lowering springs. The Bump Rubber directly affects the shocks absorber stroke, therefore if not modified you may lack the shock absorber stroke, and advertised ride height might not be reached and ride quality may not be as intended. Also, there are a significant amount of other factor that may have a great effect on the advertised ride height, in other words any car modification that adds or reduce a substantial amount of weight to you vehicle. It is highly recommended to use OE replacement shock absorbers, all TEIN springs are manufactured for use only with OE shocks and struts. Therefore to avoid any fitment and ride height issues use OE shocks instead of any other aftermarket replacements available for you vehicle. The last important factor that greatly affects the ride height is at which position the suspension components are tightened while installating. The right way to do this, is when the suspension has load, or in other words when the suspension is in normal position. When car is on the lift and the suspension is tightened while hanging, and then placed on the ground, the bushing twist will cause issues with ride height.
